Mutton Curry a best dish for party

Are you looking for Mutton Curry? Here I am going to explain you how to make this mutton curry with different spicy ingredients. It is made in different varieties with different ingredients. Here I have made by using chili, coriander, cumin, methi, pepper powder, grated coconut etc. Some people use green chili or paste instead of red chili. Here I have used red chili powder.

Ingredients:

  • Chili powder – 4 table spoon
  • Mutton pieces – 250 gms.
  • Coriander Powder – 2 table spoon
  • Cumin Powder – 1 table spoon
  • Garam Masala – 1 table spoon
  • Methi (Fennel Seeds/ powder) – ½ table spoon
  • Cinnamon stick – 1-2
  • Oil for fry
  • Curry leaves – 10
  • Mustard seeds for Seasoning – 2 table spoon
  • Grated Coconut – 1-1½ cup
  • Pepper powder – 2-3 table spoon
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 table spoon
  • Tamarind Juice – 4-5 table spoon
  • Garlic ginger paste – 2 table spoon
  • Chopped Onions – ½ cup
  • Tomato(optional) – ½ cup
  • Garlic cloves – 5-6
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili for seasoning-2

Cooking Method:

  • Take some mutton pieces and clean it well and wash it properly.
  • Next you have to make a coconut juice through grated coconut and keep aside.
  • Heat a pan pour some oil let that oil get hot, then put garlic cloves, 2 red chili and mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Let that mustard seeds starts to splutter then add garlic ginger paste and chopped onions. Let that onions fry until it get light brownish color.
  • Add chopped tomato (optional); let it fry for 2 minutes.
  • Next add mutton pieces which is cleaned and washed well.
  • Add salt for taste, turmeric powder, pepper powder and cinnamon stick and tamarind juice mix it well and fry it for 2 minutes.
  • Next add coconut juice which you kept aside. It should boil for 5 minutes.
  • Next add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, methi powder and garam masala powder. Mix it well and let it boil for 10-15 minutes.
  • Next add grated coconut, float it in the pan and mix it let it boil for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now switch off that gas button. Your mutton sukka will be ready to serve.

Garnish it with coriander leaves or spring onion and slices of cucumber, onions and tomato. This mutton sukka is best combination with chapati, phulka or idli. Make it as spicy dish you can enjoy with this dish in rainy or winter season.

Note: Here I have added chopped tomato for mutton sukka but it’s optional. Instead of tamarind juice you can use yogurt which gives different taste. First boil mutton with little tamarind, salt and turmeric powder and keep aside. After seasoning you can use this already boiled mutton, then you can save time.
