Greek Salad

I love Greek Salad recipe as it so yummy and mouth watering dish forever. It takes only 10 minutes. As it is very healthy recipe, add it to your daily menu and serve it to your lovely kids. It looks very gorgeous and greeny salad. Even It would look good on my table. The salad is a ordinary thing but dressing is very very essential because this dressing only gives life to your salad recipe. So I am very interested in dressing of any dish. This salad refreshing my day.

In my last post I have explained about Greek Chicken Salad in that too I have used many fresh vegetables. In summer season salad must be there on my kitchen table. I use to make salads while farmer market has fresh veggies like cucumber, carrots etc. You can refrigerate this recipe before serving. It may hit at a weekend party.

You can serve this recipe with burgers. If you want to make Greek Pasta then substitute lettuce with some various pastas. Your family members may be impressed by this dish. This kind of recipe never disappoint you. Plenty of time I have made this recipe but it never get oldish. Even my kid learned how to make salad recipe competently.

My Lovely husband is longing for this recipe. So I planned to make colorful dish for my family. As I am a fan of Greek Flavor so I chosen this one. While making any dish use fresh vegetables or ingredients from which you can have a healthy body. Greek Salad can be made with lettuce, olives, cucumber, cubed cheese, tomatoes, black pepper etc. Let us know the ingredients and preparation method.

Greek Salad

Ingredients for the Greek Salad:

  • Chopped lettuce – 3 cups
  • Olives – 1 cup
  • Sliced Cucumber – 1 cup
  • Cubed feta cheese – 1 cup
  • Chopped tomatoes – 1/2 cup
  • Vinegar – 2 tablespoon
  • Garlic – 2-3 cloves
  • Crushed red pepper flake – 1 table spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Olive oil – 1/2 cup

Preparation Method:

  • Take a blender and add above said quantity of vinegar, garlic, crushed red pepper flake, salt, black pepper and olive oil, blend it well and keep aside.
  • Next take one big bowl and add chopped lettuce, olives, sliced cucumber,chopped tomatoes and cubed feta cheese, toss well and add above blended mixture which we kept aside. Mix it well.
  • Now your Greek Salad is ready to serve.
    However you make this recipe but glance of it will be in restaurant style only. It is much more colorful like my Red Cabbage Salad which one I love the most. If any leftover then it can be used for very next day with same taste. It is a good combination with Barbecued Chicken, baked chicken and especially perfect with Mexican Corn Tortillas.

Note: Here I have added few ingredients. If you like other ingredients, modify it to say, carrots, cabbage, beet, green been, onions, avocados, radishes can be used for this. Try it with a different ingredients which one you like more. Make some different dressings for this recipe. You can substitute vinegar with lime juice.
